Preview 2021 tours

We have been very busy planning our touring programme for 2021. In addition to the Alsace tour which we spoke about in our last newsletter, we can now confirm that we will also be offering a new two-week tour to Denmark, followed by another new three-week tour to Norway. The two week tour to Denmark will start mid June, which is the best time to visit the country as the days are long, and relatively warm weather allows for plenty of outdoor activities. The tour will cover the whole of the country beginning close to the German border, includes time in the capital Copenhagen and finishes in the most northernly part of the country close to Skagen, where the Baltic and North Seas meet.

The Denmark tour will be followed directly by a three week tour to Norway ending mid of July. Norway is one of the world’s most beautiful countries and you will have the opportunity to take a boat trip through the Geirangerfjord, a Unesco World Heritage Site or to take a hike to Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) for fantastic views over the gorgeous Lysefjord. We will also drive along Trollstigen (“The Trolls Ladder”), a serpentine mountain road with steep hairpin bends on the way to our most northernly stop close to Åndalsnes. We will spend some time in Bergen, which claims to be one of Europe’s most beautiful cities, and in Oslo, the capital of Norway, before relaxing at two Fjords on the return journey.

In addition to our three new tours, we will be bringing back 3 popular tours from the past. Our “Picturesque Provence” tour will take place during the second half of May, a great time to visit this part of France. Our “Amazing Alpine Roads” tour  which starts in Lindau on Lake Constance and ends in Salzburg, Austria will start at the end of August. The third tour we are bringing back  is “Springtime in Holland” which will be the first tour of the year starting in the second half of April, in order for us to be there during the flower parade.

We will be offering the Calais Pick-up service for the Holland, Alsace, Denmark and Alpine Roads tours. The “Springtime in Holland” and Alsace tours are particularly suitable for “first-timers”, as we start relatively close to Calais and daily mileages are very short. The complete touring programme for 2021 with the complete itinerary, dates and prices will probably be published in April, once all details have been finalized and we have been able to speak to all the campsites that are closed over the winter.

The only tour from the 2020 touring programme that we will be keeping in the programme for 2021 is our “Captivating Croatia” tour. Unfortunately this means that the following tours will not be available in 2021:

Exciting Eastern Germany
Germany’s Romantic Road
Impressive Italian Lakes & Cities
Spectacular Spanish Northern Coast
Majestic Rhine & Moselle Rivers
Breathtaking Black Forest
Delightful Danube

The good news however is that we still have a limited number of spaces available on all these tours for 2020. As we all know the UK has now left the EU, and as during the transition period which lasts until the end of the year there are no changes regarding travel to and from the EU (including the rules around driving licences and pet passports), why not consider joining us!

If you have any questions, or require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us by e-mail, or just give us a call!

Safe travels and hope to see you at the NEC!
