It has been a while since we sent out our last newsletter, but we have been very busy travelling and did not always have good internet connection. We are now back in the office for a couple of days before leaving for our “Majestic Rhine & Moselle Rivers” tour which starts on Saturday. This is always one of our most popular tours and also ideal as a starter tour for anyone who hasn’t yet travelled to Europe in their motorhome. The tour however tends to fill up very quickly so if you are interested in joining the 2020 tour, you can secure your place by booking on our website!

Since our last newsletter we have completed 3 tours, the first of which was to the “Leisurely Loire Valley”. The main focus of the tour was, of course, to visit the stunning castles, to try the outstanding wines that are grown in picturesque villages and vineyards and to explore historic cities, many of which are UNESCO world heritage sites. We also had the opportunity to try our hand at “boules de fort”, a traditional bowling sport.

The second tour was our “Spectacular Spanish Northern Coast” tour which was new for 2019. The tour started in San Sebastian, Spain’s culinary capital on the Bay of Biscay before continuing to the famous Rioja wine region, where we enjoyed a group wine-tasting in a tradional Spanish wine cellar. We then drove through the spectacular Picos de Europa mountains and were rewarded by some stunning views. After returning to the coast, we stopped at secluded sandy beaches and explored the bustling cities of A Coruna and the holy city of Santiago de Compostela. We finished the tour with a group BBQ at our campsite overlooking the sea!

The third tour was our “Amazing Alpine Roads” tour which started in Lindau on Lake Constance. We were blessed with beautiful weather, giving us fantastic views over the mountains, valleys and sparkling lakes. Everybody took the cable car to the top of the Zugspitze, Germany’s highest mountain and later drove the highest panoramic road in Germany in their motorhomes! We enjoyed a typical Bavarian meal in a Benedictine brewery at Lake Tegernsee and the following day visited an award winning German whiskey distillery, which was particularly appreciated by the Scottish members of the group! The tour ended in Salzburg where everybody went on the Sound of Music bus tour.

In our last newsletter we introduced our touring programme for 2020 and have already received several bookings for next year’s tours. As we have had to make room for our new “Delightful Danube” and “Captivating Croatia” tours, next year we will not be offering the Loire and Alpine Roads tours, but we will definitely bring them back some time in the future. However we have decided to bring back the popular “Germany’s Romantic Road” tour.

If you would like to get a feeling for any of our past tours, you can visit our Facebook page where we have uploaded lots of photographs. On our website you will also find slide shows under the tab “Tour Impressions & Videos”

If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us directly, we are always happy to answer your questions.

Safe travels!
