The city of Donauwörth on our escorted motorhome tour Germany’s Romantic Road. We visit the former fishing settlement on ‘Ried’ island, Donauwörth. It is located at the confluence of the Wörnitz with the Danube. The picture shows the Reichstrasse. Lohr on the river Main is a lovely small town with many half-timbered houses. This is the starting point of the Motorhome Tour along Germany’s Romantic Road. According to the people of Lohr Snow White lived between the towns of Lohr and Bieber in the Spessart region. Believe this or not, the town is a fairytale!
Lovely cafes at the Elisa Fountain (Elisenbrunnen). It is the symbol of the spa town of Aachen. Constructed in 1827 it served as a drinking and promenading hall and it is still possible to try the healing thermal waters from this fountain.
I usually stay at the aire in Calais the night before meeting our customers and I HAVE TO HAVE an ice-cream like the one on the picture. It is only a small one!!!
