Flexibility when booking with MandA Tours!

Aire in Calais MandA Tours Escorted Motorhome Tours P&O ferries

Most companies offering escorted motorhome tours only offer complete packages which include the ferry crossing from Dover to Calais.

When booking with MandA Tours you can choose to book just the tour and make your own way across the channel and travel independently to the first stop on the tour. This is popular with customers that have travelled to Europe with their motorhome on a previous occasion and enables you to choose the crossing which is most suitable for your individual needs. Many customers take the shortest ferry crossing from Dover to Calais, others prefer to use the Channel Tunnel because they are travelling with their pet or because they have a TESCO card, and want to use their points to pay for the channel tunnel crossing. We also have customers who live in the north of England or Scotland who prefer to use the ferry from Hull to Zeebrugge as it shortens their journey in the UK and when booking our tours that start in Belgium or Germany ie. “Springtime in Holland”“Majestic Rhine and Moselle Rivers”“Germany’s Romantic Road” and “Europe’s Best Christmas Markets”, the drive to the first stop of the tour is also shorter.

If you are a “First-Timer” or prefer for whatever reason to be met as soon as you have arrived on the continent, we also offer the optional Calais pick-up service, where we book for you a flexible return ferry ticket from Dover to Calais and meet you just outside the ferry terminal in Calais. You then decide whether you want to travel independently or prefer to follow us to the campsite. For certain tours that are further away from Calais we also book one or two extra nights at campsites, in order to cut the journey into shorter driving days, so your holiday does not start with a stressful drive. For our tours to the “Picturesque Provence” we plan two extra stops and for the “Breathtaking Black Forest” and “Germany’s Romantic Road” one extra stop to get you to the touring region.
